Thornhill Wins the PSL MullerWorks Showdown!
October 24th, 2018Laissez les bon temps rouler ~ let the good times roll! The 2019 Professional Shooting League season kicked off with the MullerWorks Showdown at Howard Prince Gun Range in Louisiana. Jason Thornhill certainly “let the good times roll” walking away with the minute man trophy and the prize purse after completing 5 targets totaling 11150 and 61X. Second place was won by Fred Sears with a five card total of 10850 54X. Donald Hamblin finished in the 3rd place position close behind 2nd with a total of 10800 45X.  Brian Brandt beat out Kelly Cousins by 5Xs to win  C-Yankees target 1 with a 2300 15X. Chickenfoot Target 2 was won with a 2350 14X shot by Marion Collier. Triple Crown Target 3 had two 2300s with Jeff Reed’s 10 Xs putting him in the top spot. There were six 2200s and two with 12 Xs shot on Precision Quest Products Target 4! Marion Collier won out on first miss to take the prize, winning his second target of the day. Target 5 sponsored by  RimfireAccuracy.com was won by Fred Sears’ 2300 14X. In addition to payouts for the top places and target winners, the top 10 at each PSL qualilfying match will qualify to shoot in the PSL ELEY Benchrest Series Main Event.  Congratulations to Jason Thornhill, Fred Sears, Donald Hamblin, Marion Collier, Greg Monroe, Jim Morehead, Brian Brandt, Scotty Hebert, Mike Bowland, and Jerry Stiller. These PSL MullerWorks Showdown top 10 are the first qualifiers for the 2019 ELEY Benchrest Series Main Event!  The 2019 PSL ELEY Benchrest Series Main Event will pay out $10,000 divided among the top 3! Show Up & Shoot!
